Experienced Nortel/AVAYA voice technician - Accepting Applications Through February 1st, 2012

Locations: Buffalo and Albany, NY

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and upgrade telecommunications equipment.
  • Complete requests for new service.
  • Solid technical telecom knowledge and ability to solve inquiries over the phone.
  • Experience with data, IP, voice and voice applications. Desired equipment knowledge on some number of the following products:
    • Option 11-81
    • Norstar
    • BCM
    • Call Pilot / Meridian Mail
    • OTM / MAT
    • Symposium
    • SRG
    • Signaling Server
    • CS 1000 / Succession
    • AVAYA IP Office
    • ROLM products  

Skills and Experience:

    • Minimum 4 years field experience as a technician in a telecommunications environment.
    • Nortel/AVAYA PBX and applications, Rolm, Siemens, Nortel, BCM and Video.
    • Willingness to work overtime as needed.
    • Self-motivated with excellent customer-relations skills.
    • Team player willing to mentor and assist other technicians.
    • Detail and process oriented.
    • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
    • Solid organizational and follow-up skills.

Physical Requirements:

    • Ability to squat, bend, reach, pull, and lift up to 75 lbs.  
    • Requires installation of wires and/or telecom equipment in a variety of business environments.  
    • Ability to use tools and equipment needed to install and maintain telecommunications devices and support equipment.  
    • Ability to program hardware and install and maintain telecommunications equipment and work with minimum supervision.


Wireless LAN Account Executive - Accepting Applications Through February 1st, 2012

Locations: Chicago, IL, Albany, Buffalo, Rochester, NY

The Account Executive's focus centers on Wireless LAN solutions. This includes owning and coordinating all aspects of the sales cycle as well as maintaining and expanding the customer base within the assigned territory. In this key role, you will manage and drive direct sales into major enterprise accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

    • Generate enterprise business opportunities and manage the sales process through to closure of the sale
    • Create and implement strategic account plans focused on attaining enterprise-wide deployments of products and services
    • Coordinate with appropriate internal groups to generate and deliver winning Contract Bids, Proposals, RFI/RFP Responses, and Statements of Work, Negotiate terms of business with clients to achieve win/win results that provide the basis for strong ongoing relationships
    • Understand, develop and grow a Region/Territory whereby monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets are achieved and exceeded
    • Understand and convey key Business issues facing Distributors, resellers and customers
    • Develop sales plan to provide market overview and sales/marketing strategy for achieving sales target (Quota)
    • Recruit and manage the channel partners including Distributors/Re-Sellers/Systems Integrators
    • Manage all aspects of the sales cycle to secure new customers
    • Develop and plan sales/marketing activities and campaigns within each Region/Territory
    • Understand opportunities for localization of our products and services
    • Maintain sufficient activity levels to achieve sales target and build appropriate pipelines to achieve quarterly sales targets for the following two quarters

Skills & Experience:

    • 5+ years of solution and service based sales experience within a networking hardware and/or related high technology business environment with an emphasis on selling network solutions to the health care and/or education and enterprise markets
    • Minimum 3 years selling enterprise network products and services, preferably with wireless experience
    • Candidates will be highly motivated and have extensive experience in successfully selling large ticket solutions in their region
    • Excellent knowledge of multiple platforms in correlation with wireless networking, competitors and market landscape is required
    • Candidates must have strong presentation, written and oral communication skills as well as the demonstrated ability to work as part of a team
    • Bachelor's Degree in business, marketing or related discipline preferred
    • Travel Time – up to 75%

Physical requirements:

    • Communication skills, including the ability to hear customer requirements and develop and communicate sales proposals designed to meet customer needs
    • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
